Scariest Movie EVER???

Paranormal Activity has made it big. This low budget film that was never suppose to hit the big screen is now one of the biggest movies out right now. This film was made on only $15,000. After being played about a year ago at a film festival, a cult formed of people who loved this movie. Stephen Spielberg wanted to make a remake of this movie, but instead paramount/dream works turned this movie into something HUGE. Playing first at a few college towns, it become known as  the scariest movie ever. The did extremely well advertising by the trailer for this movie. It not being in most towns, people were advised to "DEMAND" the movie, literally by going to their website you could demand the movie in your town. It worked, now Paranormal Activity is playing in all cities. I saw the movie, it was pretty scary, but not the scariest movie i have seen, worth going to see.

  1. I'm not really into scary movies of any kind. Some I can watch while others I feel like they're trying to hard to scary the viewers and it's not that scary. Or the whole plot for the movie just doesn't interest me usually. Still, for a low budget film, it's got to be something good if it's got a high demand. Scaries movie or not, it sounds interesting.

  2. I find it amusing that if you get a group of die hard cult-like fans that anything they support will somehow eventually become a reality. As for the movie itself, I'm not one to go to a movie theater to purposely scare myself. I could think of scary things and not pay for it.

  3. I think this is one of those rare movies that make it big with a little budget. Im happy for them. I think the key is word of mouth. without a good review from the select few that saw the movie first it never would have made it to any other cities.

  4. I have not seen this movie yet, but I will definitely be seeing it soon. I'm really excited for the people who put this movie together. I have been in a few independent films myself, and I know how hard it is to get your film viewed to a numerous amount of people and for them to actually like it. This is a huge step for the director, producers, and actors in the movie. It goes to show that anything is possible.

  6. I have never heard of this, but that's awesome that such a low budget project is that well done that people are literally demanding to see it. I love scary movies and haven't seen a good one in a long time, is it in Jacksonville?
